Questions

Before you commission a project.

Organised by topic: budget, timelines and content, platform, migration, working on the project, ownership, support and termination. Questions about a specific service are on its page.

Budget and costs

How is the price set, and what does the quote include?

The price follows the scope. We describe it in writing and you approve it before we start — no surprises later.

After the first call we clarify the pages or screens, the features, the integrations and the data to migrate. The quote lists them by name, together with the stages, the timeline and the price of each stage. So you know what you pay for, what you get and when.

  • Included in the quote: the described scope, the stages and the handover.
  • Separately: subscriptions, paid extensions, hosting and new requirements after approval.

If the task isn’t clear yet, we start with a consultation and the scope is clarified there.

What are the running costs after launch?

They depend on the platform; we describe them already in the quote.

  • Shopify: monthly subscription, paid apps and payment fees.
  • OpenCart and custom development: hosting, domain and paid modules, if needed.
  • For both: the payment provider’s and courier’s fees.

Support is optional — from €50/month incl. VAT. See the packages.

Timelines and preparation

What does the timeline depend on?

On the scope and on how quickly the materials and decisions are ready. The specific timeline is in the quote, by stage.

The development itself is rarely the cause of delays. More often we wait for texts, photos, access or the approval of a stage. That’s why the plan marks when we need what, who prepares it and how any delay shifts the next steps.

Example: a business website with ready texts and photos goes faster than the same website whose content is prepared in parallel.

What do you need to prepare, and what do we take on?

From you — knowledge of the business and access; we organise the rest.

  • From you: the goal, access to the domain, hosting and systems, and one person who makes the decisions.
  • Together: texts, photos and product data — we help with the structure and tell you exactly what is needed.
  • From us: plan, design, development, checks on phone and desktop, and launch.
Who prepares the texts, photos and product data?

You know the product; we provide the structure and tell you exactly what is needed.

  • At the start: a list of the pages and fields to fill in, with examples.
  • During the work: we organise and edit the texts for the website and check the product data — codes, units of measure, prices.
  • To be specified in the quote: writing texts from scratch, photography and entering a large catalogue.

Content missing on launch day is a common cause of delays — so we plan it from the first week.

Platform and integrations

An off-the-shelf platform or custom development?

An off-the-shelf platform when it covers the need. Custom development when your process is an advantage the platform can’t follow.

We compare the options on four things: time to start, freedom to change, running costs and maintenance. We recommend the cheaper option if it does the job.

  • Shopify and OpenCart: a fast start for online stores, ready-made payments and deliveries.
  • Custom development: specific roles, pricing rules for different customers or complex integrations.

The detailed comparison is in software development and in online stores.

What do integrations include?

A continuous data exchange between systems — described separately in the quote.

We clarify which data is exchanged (products, stock, prices, orders), in which direction and how often, and we keep a log of the exchange. We test with a copy of the data before switching the exchange on.

The scope depends on the interfaces of the other system — ERP, courier or payment provider. We say what is possible once we have seen the documentation.

Existing website and migration

Can you develop a website built by another team?

Yes. First we do a technical review and tell you honestly what makes more sense — developing the website or building a new one.

We check the platform, code, extensions, backups and access. You get a short conclusion: what works, what is risky and what each of the two paths costs.

If you only want support, the review is included in the first month of every package.

What does a migration include?

A one-off transfer of data and URLs from the old system to the new one.

  • Products, categories, customers and pages; orders too, if needed.
  • Redirecting the old URLs to the new ones so that search rankings are not lost.
  • A trial migration in a test environment and a switch-over at an agreed moment.

Working on the project

What happens in the first call?

We get to understand your task. It isn’t a sales call — we don’t offer anything before we know the case.

The call is free and with no obligation, online or by phone. We ask what needs to change, who will work with the system and what you have tried so far. Our main policy is to truly help — so if we see that we can’t really help you, we’ll tell you straight away.

  • You will get: a clear next step — a quote, a consultation or an honest answer that the task isn’t for us.
  • When: we reply within 24 hours of your enquiry.
How do you give feedback and approve the stages?

On a test address, stage by stage.

You review each stage — structure, design, development — on a test address before we continue. We collect the notes in one place so they don’t get lost between emails and calls.

What happens if we ask for changes to the scope?

We describe the change, estimate its effect and add it after your approval.

Small clarifications within a stage are part of the work. We estimate a new feature or a new section separately — with its effect on the timeline and price — and continue once you approve them.

Handover and ownership

Whose name are the access and accounts in?

Yours — from the very start.

The domain, hosting, platform accounts and paid extensions are registered in your name; we work with the access you give us. So with any change, control stays with you.

Who owns the code, design and content?

The content and data are yours; the rights to the code and design are described in the quote.

The texts, photos, product and customer data are yours. The source code and design files are handed over when this is agreed in the quote.

The exact terms for the rights are still to be set out in the contract.

What do you get at handover? Is there training?

A working project, the access details and training for daily work.

  • Access to the admin and the services.
  • Short documentation and training on content, products and orders.
  • Source code and design files — when agreed in the quote.

Support and termination

What comes after launch?

Support or further development on new tasks — your choice.

The support packages include monitoring, a check of the key functions and time for fixes every month, with a report on what was done. We estimate larger improvements separately.

Compare the packages.

How do the included support hours work?

The package price is the included hours at €25 per hour. We count time in 15-minute steps, and every task is in the monthly report.

  • Within the hours: updates, checks, fixes and communication about the tasks.
  • Outside them: automatic monitoring, alerts and the initial review of up to 45 minutes.
  • Beyond what’s included: €35/hour, only with your approval. Unused hours don’t carry over.

The initial response time is different from the time to a fix — the fix depends on the problem and is set after a check.

Can’t I just handle it myself with artificial intelligence?

For small things — often yes. For the system your sales depend on, you need someone who is responsible for the result.

AI gives a quick answer, but it doesn’t know your system: it doesn’t know what is connected to what, it doesn’t test the change on a copy, and it isn’t responsible if orders stop. That is where support comes in — with a clear hourly price and a report on what was done.

  • We: know your website, test before release and stand behind it with our name.
  • You: gain time for your business instead of fixing problems.

See the packages and how we calculate the price.

How do you end support or the collaboration?

The website keeps working — the access and data are with you.

The domain, hosting and accounts are in your name, so ending the collaboration doesn’t stop the website. When we finish, we hand over the current state: what has been done, the open tasks and our recommendations for the next steps.

The minimum term and the notice period for termination are still to be set out in the contract.
